All grind titles (those increased point by point regardless of how or where they are acquired) not related to plot should be account based, like all PvP titles.

That includes drunkard, sweet thoos, lucky, unlucky, treasure hunter, wisdom seeker and the like.

The plot related should be easier the more characters max them.

So, of course, I agee with making Wisdom and Treasure Hunter account based.

If it doesn't matter who wins a point between a monk and an assassin in PvP, why should matter if a monk or an assassin opens a chest in PvE, where parties are usually bigger and henchmen may be doing the job for you?

Its the characters itself that is a Treasure Hunter or Seeker of Wisdom, not all the characters of the account. Its the same as Cartographer, not all the characters get it. The requirement is already high enough, and lets say for example you only use one character in PvE, the increased requirement would then be excessive.

And is it the character itself that is a King's Hero, Terrifying Gladiator, Lucky and Friend of the Kurzicks?

It's not the character, its the player!

Which is why these 2 titles *and more imo* should be account based.

/signed for the effect to be account based but not the title. (it just makes it "easier" for scubs (like the mctigger "family") to gain KoabD on every 1.)

I love this idea, this way we don't need to stick to one character to get titles.

+1 . Effects like % retain or salvage should be on entire account but not the title itself.

those are some pretty ridiculous numbers to get the highest rank for both, 10,000 each? That's insane.

Any suggestions on consolidation of points between characters if this goes into effect?

I could easily live with the benefits being account based, but the titles being character based. After all, giving another 'easy' option for GWAMM isn't what I was after. It would also allow people to use those keys, and ID those golds on what ever character they are playing if they aren't after the title, just the benefits. Not sure how Anet would be able to code it so 5 characters opening chests works towards account Lockpick retention, but not towards individual title acquisition. The people who want to max the title would still need to swap items between characters though.

/signed for the grindapalooza titles being account based, yes of course the QQ will commense from those who have obtained it on ind chars, but imo just raise the tiers for the title and combine all chars per accnt to give the title a bit more use.

Honestly, those are the kinds of titles you DON'T want to ever attempt more than once.

Even though I just generally sell everything as is, I would like to salvage runes off of armor on any character and not have to fiddle with storage.

I like playing my Para, my Rit, my Ele, my Assassin and my monk equally. I don't have a primary character and I don't want to have to pick one. It's I who punches keys and clicks mouse buttons to work on titles, not my characters. Imagine being on HA on your rank 0 monk, and no one will take you in their party, when you have a r10 Ranger!

As someone said above "if I have done it once, I can do it again".

This week I realized that I'm going to have to pick only one character to work on titles. I do not look forward to that.
So, /signed.
